Tutorials for Cloud TV Box

1. How to link to Internet?

After you linked HDMI cable and power cable to the Cloud TV Box, you will see the home page, take out your uWand remote control from the packaging box, mount suitable battery (not included) into the remote, press “Ok” button on the remote, then, you will see a color circle on the screen. Then, move your hand to move the circle to point to the “Wi-Fi” icon on the low-right corner of the screen, press “Ok” again, you will see Wi-Fi link interface, you will find all the wireless routers near your home. Select your home router, input your router’s password, press “Connect”, now, you are linked to the Internet.

2. How to watch Internet TV?

Move your hand to move the color circle to the up-left corner, press “Ok” button of your remote, you will see a list of TV channels, select the channel and program you want to watch, the TV content will load to the box and appear on your TV set.

3. How to watch streaming channels?

The Cloud TV Box has put some most popular video sites on the central part of the screen, point your remote circle to the logo of the streaming site, press “Ok”, then, the Video site will be opened, you can select the video you want to watch.

4. How to add more streaming channels?

Besides the video hubs on the central part of the home page, Cloud TV Box still has a backup list where many other video hubs are listed. To add more video hubs to the home page, please move the remote circle to the “Steaming+” , press “Ok”, you will see the list come out, select the video hub you want to mount to the home page, press “Ok”, the video hub will begin to mount, follow the screen prompts, you will add the video hub to the home page.

5. How to add more news hubs?

Cloud TV Box has integrated 15 Top News Hubs on the backup list, you can put any of them to the icon on the home page. To add more News Hubs, please move the remote circle to the “News” icon, press “Ok”, you will see the list come out, select the News hub you want to mount, press “Ok”, the News Hub will begin to mount, follow the screen prompts, you will add the video hub to the home page.

6. How to add more games?

Cloud TV Box has a game folder at the bottom bar, when you point the cursor circle to the Game icon and press it, you will get into the game interface. If it is the first time you get into the interface, you may find no games there. Then, point the cursor circle to the “Game +”, you will get a backup list of the games, select the game you want to mount to your Cloud TV Box, press “Ok”, it will begin to download to your box, follow the screen prompt, you will get the game.

7. How to add more education apps?

Cloud TV Box has an Education folder at the bottom bar, when you point the cursor circle to the Education icon and press it, you will get into the education interface. If it is the first time you get into the interface, you may find no Education app there. Then, point the cursor circle to the “Education +”, you will get a backup list of the Education apps, select the game you want to mount to your Cloud TV Box, press “Ok”, it will begin to download to your box, follow the screen prompt, you will get the Education app.

8. How to add a webcam to Cloud TV Box?

Make sure webcam has a USB plug. Plug webcam into one of the three USB ports on the Cloud TV Box.

To utilize the webcam, you will need to open and use Skype, Instagram, or other video utilizing Android application…some of which will require an account to be setup.

9. How to make video chats with friends?

To do video chat, you need to have a standard USB webcam. Take Skype as example.

Plug the webcam into the Cloud TV Box, it will be automatically recognized by the Cloud TV Box.

Use the uWand remote to point and open the Skype app (you also can select other app you familiar with) mounted on the Cloud TV Box.

Enter your log-in information, then, press on Contact on the screen, your contact list will appear on the screen. If you never use Skype with your computer, you will have no such a contact list. Please ask some people to help you to setup your contact list.

Select whom you want to call from your contact list, then, select Video Call. Your chat target will receive a message asking them to accept your call, if he/she accepts your call, he/she will appear on your screen.

Note: It depends on which Social App (Facebook, Skype, Tango, etc…) that you are using at the time. Each Social Network App works differently once you launch it on the Cloud TV Box, please follow the on-screen instructions once you’re in the app from our Cloud TV Box.

10. How to Access Facebook Application?

Locate and press on the Facebook icon in the “Internetworld” category on the right side of the home interface to open Facebook application.

Now, you can do your Facebook operation.

11. How to Access Twitter Application?

Locate and press on the Twitter icon in the “Internetworld” category on the right side of the home interface to open Facebook application.

Now, you can do your Twitter operation.

12.How to access files that are saved to internal memory?

Point the cursor circle to Internet World, press “Ok” on the remote, you will see an app named Explorer, select Explorer and press “Ok”, you will see all the memories, the one named Internal Flash is your internal memory.

13. How to access files that are saved in SD or USB card?

Same as last question, Point the cursor circle to Internet World, press “Ok” on the remote, your will see an app named Explorer, select Explorer and press “Ok”, you will see all the memories, the one named Internal Flash is your internal memory.

14. How to display your video/audio/photos stored in external memory?

Plug in your USB disc or SD card into the Cloud TV Box, your video, audio, photos files will appear automatically in the Video, Music, Picture apps that located at the bottom of the home page. Press on the related app, you can find your files, press on the files, the Cloud TV Box will display your files. Or you can get into Explorer to find your files, press the files to display.

15. Does Cloud TV Box can display my word, excel, ppt files?

Yes, if you do need to read office documents on your TV set. Please point the cursor to the “Internet World” and press “Ok” on your remote, then, select “Play Store”, press Search icon on the screen, input “office suite”, you will find a lot of apps there, select one to mount to your box. *Each app has its own developers, you may not satisfied with the office tools, but it is not the Cloud TV Box’s fault, you can try another office tools until you find an one you satisfied with.

16. What is the left big image for?

This is movie advertisement area. Cloud TV Box collect latest movie information from the internet, and display the movie advertisements in this area. If you want to watch the move, press “Ok” on the remote, then, it will bring you to the movie order website. In some models specified by customers, this area may be Weather Report.

17. What is the uWand remote control?

The uWand remote control is powered by Philips latest remote control technology that is especially developed for Smart TV. Principally it consist of multi IR transmitters and receivers, the mini cameras capture the IR signals, and the built-in MCU judge the cursor position to do reaction. To use motion sensor remote control to capture a small abject on the screen is difficult, while uWand is more accurate, sensitive and intuitive.

18. Can I download Video from internet and store in my Cloud TV Box?

If the video you want to download is legally allowed and the video is with a hyperlink for visitor to download, yes, you can download the video. Press on the video, it will appear a prompt to ask you to download or not, select “Yes”, it will begin to download the video. The downloaded video will be stored in the Download fold in the Internal Flash memory. Generally, we do not recommend customer to download video to the internal memory because any video file is huge, and the internal memory is limited.

19. Can I download music from internet and store in my Cloud TV Box?

If the music you want to download is legally allowed and the music is with a hyperlink for visitor to download, yes, you can download the music. Press on the music, it will appear a prompt to ask you to download or not, select “Yes”, it will begin to download the music. The downloaded music will be stored in the Download fold in the Internal Flash memory.

20.Can I download photo from internet and store in my Cloud TV Box?

If the photo you want to download is legally allowed and the photo is with a hyperlink for visitor to download, yes, you can download the photo. Press on the photo, it will appear a prompt to ask you to download or not, select “Yes”, it will begin to download the photo. The downloaded photo will be stored in the Download fold in the Internal Flash memory.

21. How to delete the files stored in the internal memory?

Refer question “How to access files that are saved to internal memory?“, select Internal Flash, all the stored files will appear on the right part of the screen, press and hold on the file you want to process, an option list will appear on screen, the options are: Copy, , Paste, Rename, Share etc, select the operation you want to do, the file will be processed. The stored files also can be copy to the external memories.

22. Does a qwerty remote control can be used with Cloud TV Box?

If you need to do a lot of communication with using your TV set, a qwerty remote control may be helpful. Cloud TV Box support common 2.4G qwerty remote control. Plug the mini receiver into one of the USB ports on the Cloud TV Box, point the remote handle to the receiver and press “Ok” button for 2-5 seconds to pair them, then, the qwerty remote control will start to work.

23. How do I connect my Cloud TV box to a TV without HDM1 port?

This Cloud TV Box (STB370) is preset AV OUT and HDMI both as default outputs, so, just link your TV with an AV cable to the box is Ok. Don’t forget to select your TV set’s Input as A/V.

We would like to suggest the users to use a TV set with HDMI port to work with Cloud TV Box because the HDMI cable can transfer all the digital signals to the TV set, while an A/V cable may lose some signals from internet.

24. How to sign up for a Google account on my Cloud TV Box?

Press the Internet World on your Cloud TV Box's home page screen.

Select Settings > > Google.

Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new Google account.

You can also sign up for an account at http://www.google.com/accounts.

25. How to register my Sungale Cloud TV Box?

You can register you Cloud TV Box on your computer or with your Cloud TV Box itself. Open browser, input http://www.cloudtvbox.com/en/register.php, you will get the registration page, input your personal information, and follow the screen instructions, your will finish your registration.

To register you Cloud TV Box will make you get any update information or promotion programs.

26.How to restore my Cloud TV Box back to factory defaults?

You may need to restore you Cloud TV Box when your machine is blocked by inappropriate stuff from internet.

Select the Internet World on your Cloud TV Box's main page screen.

Select Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory data reset.

Confirm that you wish to reset back to default by selecting Reset, then the box will reboot to recover the factory defaults.

Warning: To restore factory defaults, all of your data will be deleted!

27. How to download applications from Google’s Play Store?

Before you can download applications from Google’s Play Store, you will need to have a gmail account setup to be able to log in. If you do not have one, you can go to www.gmail.com to setup an account.

Point the cursor circle to Internet World, press “Ok” on the remote, locate and press on Play Store icon on the screen, then you can search and download and install the apps according to the screen instruction.

28. How to adjust and other customized settings?

The OSD (On Screen Display) language is selectable. To change the OSD language, please point the cursor circle to the “Internet World” and press “Ok” on your remote, select and press “Setting”, you will get language setting interface, following the screen instructions, you can select the OSD language.

29. How to adjust display to fit on television screen?

To adjust display for an ideal or customized fit on the screen, point the cursor circle to the “Internet World” and press “Ok” on your remote, select and press “Setting”, you will get language setting interface. From the settings menu, locate and press on “Screen” > “Screen Scale”, you will get the adjusting interface. Simply slide to the left or to the right the knob shown and the display size will change accordingly. Once the desired scaled is displaying, click “OK” to save the setting.

30. How to upload and share video via Vimeo?

Prepare a USB drive or SD card with video files you want to share.

Go to your TV box main screen, at the center Streaming application list, find and click the "Vimeo" icon.

Vimeo will be opened in a web browser, log in to your Vimeo account.

Click the "Upload a video" button, on the next page, click "Choose a Video to Upload" button, then on the popup box, you can choose the video file in your USB drive or SD card.

Your video will be uploaded.

31. How to share and retrieve files stored to cloud?

Cloud TV Box does not preinstall any file sharing/retrieving APP, but you can always download a APP to enable such functions, like Dropbox. You can download and install Dropbox via Google Play Store, then insert to your TV Box unit a USB drive or SD card loaded with files you want to share, click open the Dropbox app, and share them through Dropbox.

32. How to setup parental controls & child lock on my Sungale Cloud TV Box?

Go to Google Play store and enter search keyword “Parental Control App”, then select the app you want to install on to the cloud tv box. (Recommended app “Kids Place- Parental Control”) After installation is complete, please follow the on-screen prompt for step by step setup instruction.
